'We're primed to be premier pop culture hub in the city': HMV York to reopen with new look

HMV, the music and entertainment retailer, will reopen its refitted York store later this week as it aims to appeal to a new generation of shoppers.

HMV York on Coney Street will stock more than 32,000 products, including 5,500 vinyl albums, 13,000 CDs, 7,500 films and TV shows, 4,000 pop culture collectibles and 250 T shirt designs.

It will also sell books including fiction, graphic novels, music biographies and young adult titles.

Phil Halliday, Managing Director at HMV and Fopp said: “With more than 32,000 products on offer, the location is primed to become the premier pop culture hub in the city. We can’t wait to welcome customers in on Thursday 22nd October to see all it has to offer.”
