The company was one of the Brough site’s first tenants, moving there in 2012.

The expansion is the second expansion at the site for the business, taking its total footprint to 33,000 sq ft. Cablescan also has a site in Holland which employs about 12 people and is operated from the UK.

Richard Willis, managing director of Cablescan, said: “We moved on to the site in 2012 and we had 40 to 50 employees then.

“Today we have about 115 and as a result of winning new business, we have expanded into two other leases which means we have three leases running in parallel.

“Our clients like the site when they come here as it is secure and it’s a nice place to be. It puts our customers at ease.

“It also has very good facilities and where we are located makes it easy for us to recruit.”

The 79-acre business park was once home to aviation pioneer Robert Blackburn who chose the location for its proximity to the River Humber where he could test his seaplanes.

After being acquired by Citivale, the park has been modernised and is home to a range of businesses.

James Appleton-Metcalfe, of Citivale, said: “It’s fantastic to see Cablescan’s continued growth, especially as they are a company working in the aerospace industry.”
