World’s largest property conference MIPIM postpones 2021 event

THE world’s largest property conference has rearranged its 2021 event due to concerns over travel restrictions and quarantine.

Reed MIDEM, the organiser of MIPIM has moved the event from March to June.

It comes after the 2020 event in March was rearranged for June before being cancelled.

It is usually attended by council leaders from across the country in order to promote their districts as good investment opportunities.

It is attended by more than 26,000 professionals ranging from architects, to developers, to local authorities and investors each year.

Reed MIDEM said today that the next edition of MIPIM will take place Monday, June 7 to Thursday, June 10, 2021 in Cannes, France.

MIPIM director Ronan Vaspart said: “Following discussions with clients about travel restrictions and quarantine, and having looked at the availability of the Palais des Festivals MIPIM venue next year, we have decided to hold the event in June.

“Seventy per cent of our exhibitors have already decided to confirm their participation for 2021. We look forward to welcoming the international real estate community back to Cannes.”
