Yorkshire acting agency secures Christmas advert roles for young stars

A Shipley-based acting agency has scored a string of major Christmas advert roles for three young actors..

Articulate Agency has previously seen its actors feature in adverts for major brands including McDonalds, Lakeland, Nintendo, Iceland, Asda and Sports Direct.

The firm has this year again scored a string of three roles for its young stars.

Stacey Burrows, founder of Articulate, said: “Christmas ads have become a huge occasion for the nation, so to have so many of our young actors’ star in them each year is something we’re incredibly proud of. It’s often a gateway too to bigger roles.”

Mia Tormey, 9, from Sheffield, stars in her second Christmas ad after featuring in last year’s NSPCC’s Christmas campaign, which was her screen debut.

The role saw her character, Maisie, waking up on Christmas Day to an empty stocking before calling the charity’s helpline.

This year, she will continue to showcase her acting talent in an ad for the Dog’s Trust, telling the story of a young girl whose Christmas wish is to be able to talk to her dog.

It comes after Mia also recently secured a role in a new feature film.

Daisy-Mai Foden, 12 from Cheshire, who has previously played many roles in the theatre, will star in the new Chelsea FC Christmas ad, The Magic of The Blue.

The advert aims to highlight the growing epidemic of loneliness in London and beyond, with Daisy-Mai taking on the lead role of Molly.

She will share the screen with football stars including Millie Bright, Enzo Fernandez, Joao Pedro, Lauren James, Naomi Girma, Moises Caicedo, Estevao Willian and Alejandro Garnacho.

The move also comes Daisy-Mai has recently secured a role in a major feature film from director and screenwriter, Carol Morley, titled 7 Miles Out. The film is due out in 2026.

Articulate’s Chloe Delpino is also acting opposite a major film star, Benedict Cumberbatch in a commercial for video game, World of Tanks.

Ms Delpino, 21 from Birmingham, previously held several roles in ads, including the Habitat commercial – due to be broadcast in early December - as well as roles in the BBC TV series, Phoenix Rise and Channel 4’s Break Clause.

Ms Burrows added: “We’re incredibly proud to be nurturing raw talent, and creating transformative opportunities for both young people and more recently, adults.”

Articulate Agency has also previously secured significant roles for clients in TV dramas including Adolescence and Peaky Blinders, and major feature films.

It also has regular talent in the TV-hit, All Creatures Great and Small, with two of its child stars acting in the upcoming All Creatures Great and Small Christmas special.

Last year, its young actor Jack Wisniewski starred in Richard Curtis’s animation That Christmas (Netflix), while this Christmas, Matilda Firth from Cleckheaton has a lead role in Sky Film’s Tinsel Town.
