This not-to-be-missed early season highlight has increased in popularity since its first staging in 2014, with exhibitor and visitor numbers rising steadily as its reputation grows by the year .
Entry is free and there is a free park-and-ride service every 15 minutes from Grimston Bar to the entrance, along with free parking for 3,500 cars plus overflow space.
Show secretary, Richard Tasker , said: “This last year has been incredibly difficult for the farming sector with the challenges of the weather and the autumn budget. “Despite all this, it is great to see our exhibitors and supporters demonstrating such resilience and determination for the future of our industry.

“We continue to work hard to retain our position as the leading one day machinery and technology show in the north of England. As they say, ‘if you rest, you rust’ which is supported by everyone involved in YAMS and is why we are delighted to introduce a new forestry section this year, showcasing a diverse range of equipment and services.”
One of the attractions of YAMS is that it brings together in one place, on one day, an impressive range of manufacturers and suppliers, along with many of their managers and representatives.
Consequently, not only can visitors see the latest machines and equipment, but also find out about them from the people ‘in the know’.
“YAMS is designed to reflect what is going on in the farming world, not just through the machinery businesses, but all sectors of agriculture,” said Richard.
“As well as the latest state-of-the-art machinery from leading manufacturers, displayed by local dealerships, the show is also a prime opportunity for small businesses and bespoke engineers to display their products to a targeted audience and gain valuable exposure.”
Like many shows, YAMS is also a great social occasion and networking opportunity, a time for the farming community to come together in an atmosphere of mutual support.
“Against a backdrop of mounting challenges for the agricultural sector, the support for the health and welfare of farmers remains a key element of YAMS ,” said Richard.
“This has been an important factor in the show’ s success in winning awards over the years.”
The show also enables visitors to collect Continuing Professional Development points – BASIS and NRoSO – as part of qualification for membership renewal.
Although the show proper starts at 8.30am, the gates will be open from 7am – as will the Bidders Café, serving hearty Yorkshire breakfasts.
Later in the day there will be a Yorkshire roast beef carvery available, along with food outlets in the show fields.
