Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards 2026: Shortlists revealed as region's top restaurants, hotels, cafes, pubs and B&Bs honoured

Yorkshire’s top hotels, restaurants, spas, cafes, pubs and B&Bs are to be recognised for their outstanding contributions to the region’s economy and cultural life at a prestigious awards event.

Shortlists have been chosen for the fiercely-competitive Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards following an intensive judging process.

Many of Yorkshire best-loved tourism attractions and hospitality venues are in the running for awards at the annual event alongside a vast array of smaller independent businesses, with the winners due to be revealed at an awards evening at New Dock Hall in Leeds on November 30.

Among those in the running are the likes of Castle Howard; Stockeld Park; Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal; Harewood House; York Dungeon and The Piece Hall.

The hotly-contested Best Fine Dining award underlines Yorkshire’s growing reputation as a gastronomic destination with the shortlist including Shaun Rankin at Grantley Hall, inset right; Pignut and The Hare; Yorebridge House; Grassington House; The Box Tree Restaurant; The Pheasant Hotel and Rafters Restaurant.

New categories for this year include Best Wellbeing/Spa Business; Café of the Year; Event Venue of the Year and Hidden Gem of Yorkshire, as well as a Tourism Trailblazer award.

Catherine Scott, Yorkshire Post Magazine editor, said: “Judges were blown away by the incredibly high standards of entries, which really showcased the depth of the region's strengths in food, drink and hospitality.

"Making the shortlist is a real achievement in itself and there were some incredibly tough decisions for our judges when it came to selecting the winners.

"The night itself will be a great celebration of Yorkshire’s fantastic tourism and hospitality industry.”
