Many animals took to the stage at this year’s farming and agriculture show for the first day on July 9.
New features at the show include a craft beer bar, a Battle of the Butchers competition, Theakston’s Great Yorkshire Inn and Main Ring performances from Forever Tenors and the Paul Hannam Quad Bike Stunt Show.
This will also be the first time the show will host the World Ayreshire Federation Annual Conference when around 100 farmers from countries including Kenya, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and America will attend as part of a UK tour.
There will be new visitors attending the event including Rob and Dave Nicholson, of Cannon Hall Farm and The Yorkshire Vet’s Peter Wright as well as Helen Skelton who attended at today’s event.
Here are some of the best photos that were taken by Yorkshire Post photographers James Hardisty and Simon Hulme.
