The Great Yorkshire Show gets underway in Harrogate on Tuesday (Jul 14), with thousands of visitors expected to descend on the showground for one of Yorkshire's biggest annual events.
Before the gates opened, The Yorkshire Post was given a behind-the-scenes look at the early morning preparations, with exhibitors putting the finishing touches to livestock, grooming horses and making final checks ahead of the opening day.
The four-day celebration of farming, food and countryside life runs until Friday (Jul 17) at the Great Yorkshire Showground. Gates open at 8am each day and the site closes at 6pm.
Organisers have confirmed that tickets for Tuesday (Jul 14), Wednesday (Jul 15) and Thursday (Jul 16) have sold out in advance, with no admission available on the gate on those days.
