Important dates every student must know ahead of A level results day

It's that time of year again as A level students up and down the country discover their results on Thursday.

Amongst all the excitement and nerves there are lots of important dates on the horizon for students to keep in mind; especially with regards to Adjustment and Clearing Vacancies.

To make things easier here is a list of key UCAS application and Clearing deadlines:

18 August 2016

A level results day, and Adjustment opens

A level, GCE, and Advanced Diploma results day. Adjustment opens for registration.

31 August 2016

Remaining offer conditions must be met, and Adjustment ends

The deadline for any remaining conditions to be met – otherwise the uni or college might not accept you.

Adjustment ends.

20 September 2016

Final deadline for 2016 entry applications

The last date you can submit applications to 2016 entry courses. Applications must arrive at UCAS by 18:00 (UK time).

30 September 2016

Clearing vacancies removed from search

Published Clearing vacancies will be removed from our search tool.

Last date to add Clearing choices and for unis/colleges to make decisions

The deadline for adding Clearing choices, and for unis or colleges to accept Clearing applicants.
