At The Froebelian School, the best interests of your child are at the heart of everything they do and they are passionate in ensuring children feel safe and happy at school each and every day.

Headteacher Catherine Dodds said: “Our aim is to provide a first-class, holistic education in which both the unique needs of your child are met and their interests and talents can flourish in a caring, structured and secure environment.

“A recent investment in our early years provision means your child will enjoy a bespoke and dynamic learning environment where we can support them to develop a life-long love of learning and equip them with solid foundations for their future lives.”

And here’s what one lower kindergarten parent had to say of her child’s experience. “My three-year-old was 100% ready for a teacher-led learning environment and has come on leaps and bounds since September.”

Pre-school learning

In the nursery class, Froebelian offers teacher-led learning from the age of three.

“In our experience, children from this age group need more than simple play activities. They need opportunities to think and be curious, to challenge themselves, to collaborate and to take risks. Our vastly experienced staff team and our structured ‘learning through play’ approach, based on Froebel principles, enables us to nurture your child as an individual,” explained Ms Dodds.

In addition children will be able to participate in a wide range of activities such as workshops, themed days, clubs and trips. And the school also ensures plentiful opportunities to make friendships across all age groups in school which fosters the school’s ‘family-feel’ and will allow your child to be inspired by outstanding, positive role-models in our older classes.

Establishing routine

Children in the nursery class attend school five mornings a week which helps them to establish a secure and predictable daily routine. Afternoons are optional and the school offers flexibility to meet your childcare needs.

“Wraparound care and holiday clubs run throughout the year and are consistently supervised by our dedicated team of in-house staff who will build encouraging and trusting relationships with your child.

Parents need to feel that they can entrust their chosen school to nurture and stimulate their child and enable them to maximise their potential during their time with us. We are very proud of our track record that 100% of our FIV (Year 6) children secure places at their first-choice of independent senior school, including multiple offers of a place and several who attain awards and scholarships,” said Ms Dodds.

Affordable fees and flexible packages

An independent education may feel out of reach for some families but in reality it’s usually not much of a leap from paying full-time nursery fees.

Froebelian’s affordable fee levels and flexible package of wraparound care mean that we are an accessible option for many families.

Its Finance team will happily model costs on request, based on your anticipated requirements.

Come and see us!

The school recommends visiting when your child reaches the age of two, if not before. This means you stand a good chance of securing a place for your child to start in the September after they have turned three.

You are warmly invited to a personal tour of this lovely school with Mrs Dodds – the Headteacher - so that you may experience at first-hand the excellent care and education that Froebelian can offer for your child.
