A PRIMARY SCHOOL has had to close its doors today following a suspected outbreak of the norovirus, infecting a fifth of the children there.

Glusburn Primary School, near Skipton, will be closed until Wednesday in order to perform a ‘deep clean’ of its buildings.

About 70 children of the 350 in the school have fallen ill.

Public Health England advised the school to close and parents have been asked to contact the school with any questions.
