Referral unit staff praised
EDUCATION bosses have praised the achievement of a pupil referral unit (PRU) which has been rated as good by Ofsted.
Inspectors said teaching at Ellar Carr PRU in Bradford was good and that the gap between the pupils’ current standard and the level expected for their age is beginning to close.
Coun Ralph Berry, Bradford Council’s executive member for Children’s Services, said: “The report clearly shows the PRU is making a real difference in the lives of these young people. Staff and pupils deserve to be congratulated for this achievement.”
