Yorkshire’s students praise universities

The new report, published by Which? rates universities on sport, creative arts, politics, student union activities and nightlife, based on the responses of 16,000 students.

Leeds University is listed as being among the best for variety of student union activities and also the best local nightlife.

Sheffield University is also on the listed for most varied student union and is named as one of the best institutions for politics.

Leeds Metropolitan University is named as one of the most sporty while Huddersfield is listed as being among the most creative.

The findings also show that the vast majority (85 per cent) of students say they are satisfied with their university.
