10 further confirmed coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire hospitals

There have been 10 further coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire hospitals.

Daily NHS England figures released on Wednesday, October 7 confirmed that the ten people died after testing positive for Covid-19.

One person died in Barnsley on Tuesday, October 6.

Two people died in Bradford on Monday, October 5 and Tuesday, October 6.

Three people died in Doncaster. Two people died on Friday, October 2 and two people died on Sunday, October 4.

One person died in Hull on Tuesday, October 6.

Two people died in hospitals under the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust - which covers Wakefield, Pontefract and Dewsbury - on Monday, October 5.

One person died in hospitals under the South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust - which covers Middlesbrough and Northallerton. - on Sunday, October 4.

Outside of the region, 44 people have died.

One person died in the East of England, four people died in London, seven people died in the Midlands, six people died in the North East and four people have died in the South East.

A total of 22 people have died in hospitals in the North West.

Patients were aged between 43 and 93 years old.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England is 30,280.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.

Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
