15 more people die in Yorkshire hospitals after testing positive for Covid

A further 15 people have died after testing positive for Covid in Yorkshire hospitals,

The deaths were confirmed in the daily figures released by NHS England.

Across the country, the figures show that 307 people died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus in the 24 hours to 4pm on Thursday, February 25.

The deaths were between November 3, 2020 and February 25, 2021.

The time taken for positive results to be received is among the potential factors in a delay between a death happening and being recorded

Since April 28 2020, NHS England and NHS Improvement also started to report the number of patient deaths where there has been no Covid-19 positive test result but it is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death in the death certification process.

The figures for the latest reporting period show there were 33 such deaths in England.

A total of 8,315 people have died with the virus in Yorkshire according to statistics.

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust 2

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust 2

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust 3

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust 2
