Five people die after testing positive for coronavirus in Yorkshire hospitals
Daily NHS England figures released on Friday, October 2 confirmed that the five people died in the last two days.

Two people died in hospitals in Hull on Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 1.

Outside of the region, 42 people have died.
A total of nineteen people have died in the North West.
Two people have died in the East of England, six people have died in London, six people have died in the Midlands, five people have died in the North East and four people have died in the South East.
Patients were aged between 51 and 97 years old.
All except two (aged 59 and 92) had known underlying health conditions.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.
Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
