The weekly Covid infection rate of every Yorkshire area as Doncaster, Bradford and Ryedale's cases rise

This is the weekly Covid-19 infection rate of every local authority area in Yorkshire.

York has the highest infection rate in Yorkshire at 513.7 cases per 100,000 people. However, this was down on the previous week. The infection rates in Doncaster, Bradford and Ryedale have risen since the previous week.

The figures, for the seven days to January 13, are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two). The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people. Data for the most recent four days (January 14-17) has been excluded as it is incomplete and does not reflect the true number of cases. Of the 315 local areas in England, 36 (11 per cent) have seen a rise in case rates while 279 (89 per cent) have seen a fall. Images are for illustrative purposes only.
