Zero Covid-19 deaths recorded at Yorkshire hospitals

There have been no coronavirus deaths registered at Yorkshire hospitals today (Friday), according to the latest figures.

A further five people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital elsewhere England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals to 29,490, NHS England said.

The patients were aged between 41 and 96, and all had known underlying health conditions.

Another three deaths were reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.

The total number of deaths in Yorkshire remains at 2,914.

In Leeds hospitals, 339 deaths have been recorded since the start of the pandemic.
