Sheffield Children’s Hospital receives a substantial grant from The Cadbury Foundation
One of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK, Sheffield Children’s Hospital provides integrated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care, as well as specialist services. Established in 1876, Sheffield Children’s Hospital has been providing leading and specialist care to children and young people at the heart of the community and beyond for over 140 years.
This year, to mark 200 years of the iconic Cadbury brand, a special roadshow toured locations across the UK, including Sheffield, inviting colleagues to vote for a local charity to receive a share of £200k from The Cadbury Foundation.

The substantial grant will help Sheffield Children’s Hospital fund vital research and treatment for thousands of children, as well as buy lifesaving equipment.
Catherine Foster, Head of Trusts & Philanthropy at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, said: “As a leading hospital in paediatric care, demand for our services is continuing to grow. Donations like this one from The Cadbury Foundation help us to provide critical and emergency care to children in need, as well as fund services not covered by the NHS.
“We are hugely grateful to the Mondelēz International team for this generous donation, which will help us make real and long-lasting improvements to the health of local and young people, as well as create a comfortable and supportive environment for our patients.”

Kelly Farrell, community affairs manager at Mondelēz International, added: “As we celebrate Cadbury’s incredible 200th anniversary, we’re also celebrating two centuries of giving back - investing in our communities and making a real difference.
“Carrying on the spirit of the Cadbury brothers is something we’re deeply proud of, as we continue to support amazing charities and projects like Sheffield Children’s Hospital that positively impact countless lives each year.”
