But it appears that the vast majority of us are happy with how our local practice operates, according to the latest GP Patient Survey, produced by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England. The survey contacted 2.3 million people to gather information on how patients feel about their local GP and it reveals the best and worst surgeries in Yorkshire and beyond. Surgeries are ranked by the proportion of patients that said they were 'very good'.
5. Staithes Surgery
The latest in a number of surgeries in the North Yorkshire CCG area, a total of 87 per cent of responses were 'very good'
6. Topcliffe Surgery
Based in Thirsk, this surgery had 34 people respond saying it was very good, 84 per cent of those who filled in the questionnaire.
7. Stannington Medical Centre
Based on the edge of Sheffield, this came 60th in England, also with a rating of 84 per cent for 'very good' responses
8. Stockwell Road Surgery
It was 88th in England for this Knaresborough surgery, with 82 per cent of respondents rating it as 'very good'
