Fraisthorpe forms part of Bridlington Bay which stretches all the way down to the Humber Estuary. 6. Hornsea Beach
Hornsea dates back to the early medieval period at the very least and the town was expanded in the Victorian era. The beach offers a traditional seaside holiday experience and attracts avid hikers, horse riders and cyclists. To the north of the beach, visitors can see Flamborough Headland, while the Holderness coast can be seen from the south. 7. Robin Hood’s Bay Beach
Robin Hood’s Bay is well known for its fossil discoveries which have been found on its beach. The foreshore rocks on the north side of the bay, particularly, are a popular location for finding ammonites. The area is especially popular with professional and amateur photographers as it has a stunning backdrop of cliffs and extensive views round the bay. 8. North Landing Beach
This is one of the smaller beaches but is also visually stunning with its chalk cliffs, grassy hills and the sand and pebble beach. The area is particularly good for marine wildlife in the rockpools and adventurers who love to scuba dive to observe the underwater world. Many different species of birds can be spotted here including cormorants, kittiwakes, razorbills and even puffins.
