Celebrating some of the best photographs taken in Yorkshire - by Simon Hulme

In a new series of picture specials, we celebrate the work of Yorkshire photographers – this week we feature Simon Hulme of The Yorkshire Post.

He has been taking pictures for The Yorkshire Post for almost 20 years and has won a string of honours on the way. Here we present some of Simon Hulme’s best work, following his latest triumph after winning a national business photography award – at the fourth attempt. Mr Hulme, 50, whose father was a staff photographer for sister title the Yorkshire Evening Post for 40 years, has been named Business Photographer of the Year at the UK Picture Editors’ Guild Awards. He had been nominated for the honour for the past three years and is also a former Regional Press Awards winner.
