Ranger captures amazing photo of lizards sunbathing in the North York Moors

A National Park ranger has taken this incredible photo of two lizards sunbathing on a waymarker in the North York Moors.
David Smith spotted the reptilian pair near Darncombe and Langdale End over the weekend.
The basking duo are common lizards, one of the few species of reptile that are native to the UK.
The Eurasian species is found all over Europe, and even lives as far north as the Arctic Circle.
Yet they are not commonly seen and can be difficult to spot.
As lizards are cold-blooded, they need to 'bask' in the sun in order to warm their bodies enough to enable them be active during the day.
