Punjabi Heaven has a takeaway at Weaver Street, Burley, which does outside catering and ‘trial boxes’ – like a tasting menu where you can try small amounts of different dishes – and now has a new restaurant at 629 Roundhay Road, Leeds.

They hire experienced and exceptional chefs and pride themselves on using fresh ingredients and an authentic Punjabi taste – this is Indian street food taken to the next level.

Lord Mayor, Councillor Asghar Khan, will be at the official opening of Punjabi Heaven restaurant on Saturday, April 30, and the doors will be open to customers from the first week of May.

Whether you’re looking for a tasty lunchbox for work or catering for a special event find out more about what Punjabi Heaven can offer – or order a tasting box to sample for yourself and find your favourites.

Cooked with Punjabi love

The man behind Punjabi Heaven is Daljit Singh, who has over 15 years of experience in the restaurant and catering industry.

“I was born in India and I started working when I was 15 years in the catering industry and add my own food business,” he explains. “I moved to England in 2011 since then I been working in restaurants of high standard.

“My passion and desire to succeed continues in my mission to connect the British people with the Indian culture through my various tasty culinary dishes.”

Punjabi food is distinctive, flavoursome and aromatic – and at Punjabi Heaven it is cooked to perfection. It should not just satisfy your hunger, but be an experience – a fusion of spices, flavours, textures and tastes.

Bringing the taste of heaven to you

You can pre-order and select a collection slot from the takeaway in Burley – and if you go online you’ll also get 15 per cent off when you place an order (minimum order £20).

Punjabi Heaven also offer a catering service for private and public functions, including live tandoori . This service is ideal for special events, weddings, social gatherings and workplace events. Again you can find more details and menus on their website. They are happy to offer a free quote and menu recommendations.

And if you’re not sure what you might like you can purchase a trial box, where Punjabi Heaven will prepare small samples of each dish for you to taste. Any of the dishes can then be tweaked to your tastes and made less hot or spicier if you wish. That means when the day of the event comes you can relax and enjoy the event knowing that the catering will be perfectly suited to your tastes.

And if you just fancy a tasty lunch try the lunchbox option available from 12pm to 4.30pm. For just £9.99 you can choose one curry from the mains (extra £1 for lamb dishes) with 1 daal, a rice, 2 chapati and 1 gulab jamun included.
