In a social media post addressing the closure, O’Hare said the sudden closure of the restaurant is “reflective of the changing experience market we all live in”.
The post said: “I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved over the last decade. We've had some amazing moments and I'm so thankful for everyone that has played their part, either as guests or as part of the team.
“The decision is very much based upon my exciting plans for the future, but is reflective of the changing experience market we all live in."

“'I'm excited for the future and the next steps in my journey."
Psycho Sandbar replaced O'Hare's first venture in the city, The Man Behind The Curtain, which opened a decade ago.
It was known for pushing boundaries with its unconventional food, service and design. The Man Behind The Curtain was also the only restaurant in Leeds to hold a Michelin Star.
