The stunning landscape of Yorkshire lends itself well to walkers and cyclists looking to enjoy the beauty of nature.

From epic coastline walks, to hilly landscapes, the county of Yorkshire offers up many options for those who love the great outdoors.

But all that exercising can work up quite an appetite.

Thankfully, the county has an array of fantastic pub options to park up and grab a bite to eat and a drink.

Experts at the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) have recently released the Good Beer Guide 2023.

You can find the full list of recommended Yorkshire pubs in the guide, which is out now.

Here are some of the best pubs for walkers and cyclists in Yorkshire, according to CAMRA.

Thankfully, the county has an array of fantastic pub options to park up and grab a bite to eat and a drink.

CAMRA experts said: "A historic ale house and celebrated community pub situated between the River Aire and canal towpath, showcasing a selection of mostly local ales. One pump is dedicated to a dark ale and another to Old Rosie cider. Craft beers, international lagers, wines and a great selection of spirits are also available. The Abbey bustles with friendly locals throughout the week, hosting a folk night on Tuesday and quizzes on Thursday and Sunday. Ample seating outside attracts dog walkers, cyclists and families."

5. Abbey Inn, Leeds

CAMRA experts said: "A historic ale house and celebrated community pub situated between the River Aire and canal towpath, showcasing a selection of mostly local ales. The bar area is pleasant, featuring a Mouseman Thompson bar, bare floorboards and old pine tables, with comfortable leather settees around the stove. The pub offers a welcome respite for walkers returning from the adjacent fells and riverside (provided muddy boots are removed)."
