Yorkshire Coast BID release guide to the best pubs with beer gardens near the sea as they celebrate the return of hospitality

A campaign run by the Yorkshire Coast Business Improvement District (BID) to support the return of the hospitality trade includes a guide to the best pubs with beer gardens.

Love Yorkshire Coast has compiled a list of venues with outdoor seating areas that are now open in coastal honeypots such as Scarborough, Whitby, Bridlington and Hornsea - including those which have adapted and improved their facilities to adhere to the new regulations.

The Marine, Hornsea

The Marine is well-known for its fantastic views across the North Sea from Hornsea. Its beer garden has always been popular in the spring and summer months. In the past few weeks, the outdoor area has undergone a significant upgrade by owners Greene King ready for April, so it now offers much more space for customers to eat and drink outdoors, including undercover booths and more tables.

The Little Angel in Whitby's owners are looking forward to welcoming back visitors, having recently having had the entire beer garden area covered over and 'weather-proofed'.

Manor Court Hotel, Bridlington

This family-run friendly hotel with on-site restaurant serves food seven days a week. Manor Court's owners have recently updated the outdoor courtyard seating and now offer more covered areas and heaters.

Seabirds Inn, Flamborough

The beer garden has been refurbished with spaced-out furniture. The pub is also dog-friendly and even has a 'dog bar' for pets.

The Downe Arms and Tuckers Restaurant & Bar, Wykeham

The chefs use seasonal produce in the menus at this day and night venue which has a landscaped garden area and patio.

The Ship Inn, Bridlington Bay

The beer garden offers plenty of seating with a sea view, a children's play area and an outside bar within a small amusement arcade close to Bridlington Bay and Flamborough Head.
