Clarkson's Farm to return for second series on Amazon Prime with start date revealed

The premiere date of the highly-anticipated second series of Clarkson’s Farm has been announced.

Prime Video said the show, which sees the former Top Gear host, who is originally from Doncaster, manage an Oxfordshire farm, will return on February 10 2023.

Clarkson’s Farm won plaudits for its cinematography coupled with the lovable staff unafraid to tell the 62-year-old presenter when he was being useless, and charted the difficulties faced by farm workers during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Clarkson bought the farm in 2008 and it was run by a villager. But after he retired in 2019, the TV presenter decided to see if he could run it himself.

The second series will show another year in the life of Diddly Squat Farm, featuring “Britain’s best-known but least qualified farmer” – Clarkson – and his “rag-tag band of agricultural associates”.

It will see the introduction of new animals and crops to the farm; Clarkson’s dealings with the local council as he attempts to diversify his operation with a restaurant; and farming contractor Kaleb yet again saving the day on numerous occasions.

Prime Video said that viewers can expect a deeper insight into another year on the Diddly Squat Farm as Clarkson aims to expand his limited agricultural knowledge under the watchful eye of his no-nonsense team.

As well as fan favourite Kaleb, returning faces include stone-waller Gerald, adviser “Cheerful” Charlie, and Clarkson’s partner-turned-farm-shopkeeper Lisa Hogan.

“The eagerly awaited second series promises to bring more laughs, triumphs and tribulations, and of course more farming faux pas, as we follow Jeremy and co on their agricultural adventure,” Prime Video said.

In October Clarkson appealed against an enforcement notice that had ordered the farm’s restaurant and cafe, on Chipping Norton Road, Chadlington, to be shut, after it opened in July.

He had previously had two planning applications rejected by West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC).
