Yorkshire is full of beautiful countryside to explore, as our reader David Kemp put it: "Anywhere in Yorkshire as there are so many places to see."

5. North York Moors
A walk in the North York Moors came highly recommended by many of our readers, including Katie Gant. There are so many walks to choose from when it comes to the moors. The Helmsley and Rievaulx Abbey walk is around seven miles and is popular as the circular route offers sweeping views of town and castle before a declining walk down to the ruins of Rievaulx Abbey. Other more gentle and shorter options include the Rosedale Mineral Railway, the Cawthorn Roman Camps and the Osmotherley and Mount Grace walk. Visit www.northyorkmoors.org.uk for full walk details.
6. Aysgarth Falls Waterfall Walk
Sheila Hawksby suggested walkers go visit Aysgarth Falls. The three steeped waterfalls at Aysgarth Falls are a very popular tourist attraction. A suggested walk is the 6.75 mile circular walk from the falls via Castle Bolton. It starts at the National Park Centre car park and takes it plenty of fantastic views.
7. Brimham Rocks
Another walk Sheila Hawksby recommended was around Brimham Rocks. There are a few walks you can do around Brimham Rocks. The circular walk takes around an hour and starts at the car park, looping around to take in lots of beautiful sights, including passing a famous oak tree that has been growing out of a rock for more than 250 years. Other walks include the Brimham Boundary Walk and the Moorland and meadows walk. Visit the National Trust website for all the information.
8. Wentworth Woodhouse
Andy Smith said: "Wentworth Woodhouse, with the house, it’s park and gardens", is one of his favourite walks. Explore the parkland and gardens around the Grade I listed country house. Starting in Wentworth village, it picks up the Rotherham Round trail before taking you into Wentworth Park, continuing into Scholes before returning to Wentworth on public footpaths. From this walk it is easy to pick up some other walks including the Rotherham Round Walk and Barnsley Boundary Walk as both run through Wentworth.
