Acting president dissolves Nigeria's Cabinet

Nigeria's acting president dissolved the Cabinet yesterday in his first major act since taking office more than a month ago.

Information Minister Dora Akunyili said Acting President Goodluck Jonathan would issue a statement soon on who will now serve in the Cabinet.

President Umaru Yar'Adua, long troubled by health ailments, has not been seen publicly since November. he left Nigeria in late November for medical treatment at a Saudi Arabian hospital over what his physician described as serious heart condition.
