Actor pledges his support to charity
Dominic West, who is currently appearing in Othello at the Crucible Theatre and recently starred in BBC2’s The Hour, agreed to support Bakewell-based Helen’s Trust after its workers helped his own mother.
He said his mother had wanted to die at home in 2009 and added: “Helen’s Trust is an amazing charity which is making a huge difference to the lives of incurably ill people in Sheffield and North Derbyshire.

“I want to support this charity to help others have that same choice, and I am keen to be able assist Helen’s Trust to realise its ambition to grow and become much more widely recognised.
“I am honoured and proud to become Patron and look forward to being actively involved in efforts to raise awareness and funds for the charity.”
