Biker dies and woman arrested after North Yorkshire crash

A man has died and a woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following an accident on the A174 at Staithes in North Yorkshire.

The crash happened at the junction with Cowbar Farm at around 3.35pm on Thursday, October 1, and involved a blue Volkswagen Passat.

Mr Graham leaves behind a partner, two brothers and a sister.

In a statement, his family said they are devastated by their loss and would like to ask for privacy at this extremely difficult time so that they can grieve.

The driver of the Passat, a woman who is also aged in her seventies, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and she has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
