Humberside Police confirmed that the 29-year-old died in hospital following the incident yesterday.
It happened on the B1229 between Buckton and Bempton near to the Bolam Lane junction around 2.45pm and a spokesperson added that no other vehicles were involved.
His family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time and a man who was riding pillion sustained minor injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who might have seen the bike being ridden to get in touch.
