Blaze fears scupper Rushmore fireworks
US officials are cancelling Mount Rushmore's nationally televised Independence Day fireworks show because of wildfire worries.
Park Superintendent John Scott said officials fear the display could spark a fire this summer.
The national monument in South Dakota has the faces of presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt carved into its side.
