Blaze wrecks Leeds recycling depot
The alarms was raised at 1.43am today (June 26) when firefighters were called to an industrial estate at Lockwood Way in Beeston in south Leeds.
Hunslet crews led the operation.

Hide AdHunslet Watch Commander Andrew Alderson said: “It was reported as a fire in the open. This turned out to be some bins that had been placed up against the building. The fire had unfortunately spread inside the industrial unit.
“The unit was used for recycling clothes, the charity bags people put outside their houses.
“It resulted in a severe fire.”
The crews from the three stations took nearly three hours to deal with the blaze.
He said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
