Captured on camera in Whitby: When seagulls attack
The images by Alex Newsome, 24, show a birds-eye view of the seagulls as they swoop down and attack the camera with spread wings and open beaks.
The pictures were taken just days after a seagull attacked and killed a pet dog in a seaside town in Cornwall.

“There has been lots of stories about seagulls recently, so I thought I would create a series of pictures showing people how scary a walk on the sea front can be nowadays.
“I had my camera on my tripod and was holding a cone of chips and it was only seconds before they were all swooping down and hitting my camera.
“I got some really cool pictures but it was quite scary when I had them all around me. One of them slapped me in my face with it’s wing.”
