CCTV images released after theft of elderly woman's purse in Ripon

Police today issued CCTV images of three people they want to trace in connection with a distraction purse theft in North Yorkshire.

The incident took place in the car park of the Aldi store in Ripon on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 4.

The elderly victim noticed her purse was missing after being approached by a woman who asked her for change for the car park meter.

The victim’s bank cards were later used to make cash withdrawals and purchases in Ripon and at an Asda store in Harrogate.

Anyone with information is asked to ring North Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
