China blames US forstrained relations

China said it was up to the United States to improve relations that soured over US arms sales to Taiwan and a meeting between President Barack Obama and exiled Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama.

Foreign minister Yang Jiechi told reporters at the annual National People’s Congress that “the responsibility for the difficulties in China-US relations does not lie with China”.
