Court appearance for pair accused of kidnap

Two men are due before magistrates tomorrow charged with an alleged kidnap in Sheffield on Friday.

Mubarrack Nassar Hassan, 24, of Glossop Road, Broomhill, and Ahmed Ismail, 22, of Exeter Drive, Broomhall, have been charged with two counts of kidnap, two counts of false imprisonment, three counts of blackmail and offences under the Firearms Act.

They have been remanded into custody to appear before Sheffield Magistrates.

Police were called to an incident around 6pm on Friday in the Gleadless area of Sheffield.

Four others have also been arrested on suspicion of kidnap. A 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman have been bailed pending further enquiries. A 22-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man continue to be questioned by officers today.
