Armed balaclava clad gang rob home and threaten family in Liversedge

An armed gang wearing balaclavas broke into a home and threatened a family in Liversedge.

The robbery happened in the Roberttown Lane area at 2pm on Friday, July 3.

Four suspects wearing balaclavas and armed with weapons forced their way into the property.

They threatened the occupants inside.

The suspects made off with cash and jewellery.

No one was injured in the robbery.

A short while later officers found a Black BMW vehicle driving at speed on Cliff Lane, Gomersal, some items from the robbery were discarded from the vehicle.

Detective Sergeant Adam Johnson from Kirklees CID, said: "This was an incredibly distressing and frightening incident for the victims.

"I would like to appeal to the public for witnesses or any information to come forward to the police to assist us with our enquiries.

"Extensive enquiries into the robbery are ongoing including CCTV and House to house enquiries."
