Body found in chemist roof identified as missing Halifax man

The body of a man found in the roof above a Queensbury chemist has been identified as missing Halifax man Craig Alderson.

Mr Alderson, 44, was last seen on Friday, January 20, in the Queensbury area.

His body was discovered in the roof space above Rowlands Pharmacy in High Street, on March 23.

It is believed the body of Mr Alderson, of Mount Pleasant, Southowram, had been in the building for several weeks.

Officers in Calderdale conducted extensive enquiries to locate Mr Alderson, both in residential areas and open ground, working alongside local Search and Rescue teams and partners across both Bradford and Calderdale districts.

CCTV images of his last movements in Queensbury were also released by police.

An inquest was opened and adjourned on March 29 at Bradford Coroners Court.
