Bridlington pensioner charged over burglary victim’s death
A BRIDLINGTON pensioner has been charged in connection with the death of a man in a suspected botched burglary.
Llywelyn Thomas, 76, was discovered at his home in Ely Road, Chittering, Cambridgeshire, on December 18, 2011. He was last seen alive the previous evening.
Today John Smith, 66, of Wold Gate, will appear before Cambridge Magistrates’ Court charged with assisting an offender after being arrested yesterday.
Frankie Parker, 25, of Nene Road, Ely, and Gary Smith, 20, of no fixed address, have been charged with murder.
They are due to appear in court on April 2.
