Briton arrested over Bali police officer's death
David Taylor and Sarah Connor were arrested on Friday as they were seeking protection at the Australian Consulate in Denpasar, Bali’s capital, two days after the death of traffic police officer Wayan Sudarsa.
Statements from nine witnesses led to the arrests, Bali police chief Major General Sugeng Priyanto said.

Hide AdMr Sudarsa’s bloodied body was found early on Wednesday on the beach outside the Pullman Hotel in Kuta, while Connor’s handbag was discovered nearby, police said.
Maj Gen Priyanto said he interrogated Connor and she stated that she had been at that location with Taylor but had been drunk and could not remember what happened.
She also said her handbag was missing, Maj Gen Priyanto said.
Taylor refused to be questioned while waiting for a lawyer, the police chief said.

Hide AdConnor, who entered Bali on August 16, and Taylor, who arrived on July 29, have been banned from leaving Bali at the request of police, the chief of Ngurah Rai immigration office, Yoseph Renung Widodo, said.
