Burglar targets rare jewellery in Beverley raid

RARE jewellery has been stolen in a burglary at a home in Beverley.

Police believe the property, a detached cottage on Ratten Row, in the Bishop Burton area, may have been watched by the alleged burglar, before the house was entered covertly.

The cottage was entered via an unlocked back door and jewellery boxes, watches and make-up accessories were stolen from a bedroom.

Some of the rare jewellery pieces stolen included a red ruby stone wedding ring, a Michael Kors ladies tortoise twisted chain watch in rose gold MK4269, a Michael Kors ladies black steel slim runway three-hand glitz watch MK3318, a men’s Rado watch, and make-up accessories totalling thousands of pounds.

The burglary occurred sometime between 5-6pm on Monday, January 11.
