CCTV appeal after man attacked in Sheffield

POLICE investigating an attack on a man in Sheffield have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.

South Yorkshire Police said a 20-year-old man was attacked on Division Street, near to the junction with Rockingham Street, in Sheffield.

He suffered injuries to his face and head.

The man who launched the attack is thought to have left the Great Gatsby Bar just before the incident.

The attack happened at around 3.30am on Saturday October 15 2016, but police only released details today.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman, said: "Police investigating the incident have exhausted all other lines of enquiry and have now released CCTV images, as they believe the man pictured will be able to help them with their investigation."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 447 of 16 October. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
