CCTV appeal in bid to trace petrol station raiders

POLICE have issued CCTV images after alcohol and scratch cards were taken during a petrol station raid in South Yorkshire.

Four men are reported to have forced their way into the Jet service station in Royston Lane, Royston, Barnsley, at around 11.50pm on Tuesday March 15.

As well as the thefts, damage was caused to the building as they forced their way in.

The four male suspects are all described as being in their 20s and were wearing dark clothing.

One suspect, who is described as being medium build, around 5ft 9ins tall, was wearing a black woolly hat and a black jumper with a print of a woman on the front.

Another suspect, described as being around 5ft 9ins tall of chubby build, was reportedly wearing a blue t-shirt underneath a dark-coloured body warmer with a hood.

A third suspect, described as being around 5ft 7ins tall of slim build, was wearing a dark waterproof coat with a hood that reportedly had a motif on its right bicep.

Officers believe the men in the CCTV images could hold useful information about the burglary.
