CCTV: Harrogate wedding gatecrasher touched young girl and woman

The man is said to have entered a suite at the Crown Hotel where a wedding reception was taking place.

He then moved to sit next to a 12-year-old girl and put his hand on her knee.

Moments earlier, he had tried to speak to a group of women outside the hotel before touching one of them on the bottom.

The man was confronted by guests at the wedding, who escorted him from the hotel.

He is described as white, aged between 50 and 60, around 5ft 10in, of medium build and short dark hair.

The man was wearing dark- framed glasses, a beige jacket, white shirt, black trousers and black shoes.

Police said it was possible that his name is Mikey and that he was a visitor to the town

PC Lee Yates, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Thankfully neither the woman nor girl suffered any physical harm as a result of these incidents. However, they were both naturally left upset by their experience.

“If you recognise the suspect, I urge you to contact the police straight away as I need to speak to him about these incidents.

“I am also urging the man himself to come forward so that I can understand his version of events.”
