Doncaster chicken deaths: South Yorkshire Police appeal after five birds subjected to ‘inhumane actions’

Five chickens were killed over three days in Doncaster after being subjected to “inhumane actions”.

On Thursday (Aug 15), police received reports of five chickens being killed in Carcroft, Doncaster.

Police believe that over a period of three days offenders gained entry to a garden on Poplar Road in Carcroft, took the chickens and subjected them to inhumane actions.

In a statement South Yorkshire Police released an appeal that said: “We’re appealing for information following the death of five chickens in Doncaster.

“On 15 August we received reports of five chickens being killed over a period of three days.

“It is believed that offenders gained entry to a garden on Poplar Road in Carcroft and have taken chickens from a garden and subjected them to inhumane actions.

“We’re keen to hear from anyone who has information about the incident that can assist officers with their inquiry.
