Ducklings killed during raid on Hornsea farm

THIEVES killed ducklings and moorhens after stealing cash during a raid at a farm in Hornsea.

Police said raiders struck at Honeysuckle Farm on Bewholme Lane between 7pm on Saturday and 7am on Sunday.

A Humberside Police spokesman said: “The offenders approached vending machines for fish food by the side of the pond and forced the cash boxes open before taking money.

“It is reported that the broken containers along with stones were thrown into the water, killing ducklings and moorhens.”
