Family left disgusted after seeing naked man perform "lewd act" near Mother Shipton's Cave in Knaresborough

Police in Knaresborough are appealing after the family spotted the naked man on a hill while walking through grounds of the major tourist attraction, Mother Shipton's Cave, shortly after 4pm yesterday (Wednesday).

Seconds after spotting the man, the family noticed he was performing a lewd act.

On realising he had been seen, the naked man walked off into some bushes.

The man is described as white, aged in his 60s, around 6ft tall, of slim build, and possibly had grey hair.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information that could assist the investigation, to contact them. Advice for anyone confronted by such a situation is to call 999 immediately.
